Wilma and Betty want to go out to eat and drink at a very expensive restaurant, while Fred and Barney claim they cannot afford it. Soon after a little green man from space lands on earth, while Fred and Barney find him. The name of the space man is the Great Gazoo and he vows to serve Fred and Barney until he could be brought back to his planet. Only Fred and Barney can see or hear Gazoo because they found him. Pebbles, Bamm Bamm, Dino, and Hoppy see and hear Gazoo because they understand things like that. Gazoo promises to give Fred and Barney some money for the dinner date to that expensive restaurant, but when the bill arrives Gazoo is nowhere to be found.

Rip Van Flintstone

Air date: 11/5/65

Fred is dragged to a company picnic where he is very bored and annoyed. He falls asleep and dreams he wakes up 20 years later where his friends are long gone, the town of Bedrock is now a big city, Barney is a millionaire, Pebbles married Bamm Bamm, and Wilma lives on Barney's estate. When Fred sees Wilma again its a mixed reception and he then wakes up with a new outlook on life enjoying the rest of the day at the picnic.

Gravelberry Pie King

Air date: 11/12/65

After Gazoo gets Fred to see his boss for a list of demands from him and his co-workers, Boss Slate fires Fred to meet the demands of the other workers. Fred then hangs out at the park and someone tastes some gravelberry pie, he has with lunch. Several guys taste it including Mr Safestone of Safestone markets. Safestone makes a deal with Fred to bake 50 pies, then 250 pies, but later Fred discovers that the pies are cheaper than the cost to make them. When Fred tries to get out of the deal, Safestone refuses and Fred is stuck with 250 pies. He tries to sell them to no avail. Wilma then convinced Mr Safestone to take the pies at a price where everyone can make money. She also goes to the quarry and convinces Boss Slate to reinstate Fred back to the gravel pit.

The Stony Finger Caper

Air date: 11/19/65

Barney is mistaken for a scientist by some shady people. Gazoo, meanwhile, gives Fred a luxury car and this causes more problems, including the shady people accelerating the quest to get a secret formula from Barney, who they think is scientist Rockinghimer. They finally knock Fred and Barney out and are ready to kill them to get a formula Barney does not have. Gazoo comes to the rescue and turns the horrisouris into a puppy and the gangsters into babies. Gazoo even drives Fred and Barney home with an invisible car.

The Masquerade Party

Air date: 11/26/65

Fred and Barney enter a costume contest both dressed as devils. Meanwhile, Bedrock is invaded by "the Way-Outs", the teen pop sensations. After deciding to let Barney be the devil, Fred decides to dress as a space alien and is mistaken for one of the Way Outs, a teen pop group dressed as space allies.

Shinrock a Go-Go

Fred is entered in a teen dance contest against his will on the Shinrock show. Every one of Fred's mishaps becomes a new dance.
