Brace Yourself

When Marcia tearfully frets "I'm ugly, ugly, ugly!" over her new braces, her worries are made even worse when her new boyfriend Alan Anthony, her date for the upcoming school dance, cancels at the last moment after he finds out he will have to go out of town with his parents, she still thinks it's because of her braces. Although Carol, Greg, and Alice all try to set Marcia up with substitute dates - Harold Reynolds, Joey Michaelson, and Eddie the young delivery courier - respectively, only to discover that both a lack of coordination and a lack of communication all backfire. Eventually, Alan, who finds out neither he nor his parents are going out of town after all, still wants to take Marcia to the dance, she finally agrees. As it turns out, on the evening of the dance, Alan shows up at the Brady home in his new braces - as well - after he had an accident on his bicycle.

The Hero

Air date: 2/20/70

Peter learns a lesson in heroism and humility after being written up as "Hero of the Month" in the local newspaper for saving a young girl's life during an accident at Driscoll's Toy Shop. Peter becomes so enamored with his heroics, that he decides to throw himself a congratulatory party, only to discover that he gets humbled when none of his friends show up, and that not even members of his family show up either.

The Possible Dream

Air date: 2/27/70

No thanks to Cindy, Marcia's diary gets mixed in with books for a charity drive, leading the family on a search for her diary. The reason for the frantic search, is that Marcia's worried someone will find out she has a crush on Desi Arnaz, Jr. In order to cheer Marcia up, Alice contacts Lucille Ball's housekeeper, and requests that the young Arnaz pay Marcia a visit.

To Move or Not to Move

Air date: 3/6/70

Mike considers selling the Bradys' undersized house when the children complain about a lack of room. However, the kids have second thoughts and pretend to be ghosts in order to scare off would-be buyers. The kids' effort succeeds, but in the end, Mike realizes how much the kids like their current home, even with the lack of space.

The Grass is Always Greener

Air date: 3/13/70

Carol and Mike switch roles to see who is better at the other's household chores. Just as Carol tries teaching baseball to her sons, only to give new meaning to the word incompetence, Mike tries to help Marcia with her cooking project in order to earn a Girl Scouts cooking badge, only to be the victim of several accidents in the kitchen.

Lost Locket, Found Locket

Air date: 3/20/70

When Jan becomes depressed from a lack of attention, her spirits are lifted when she receives a locket from a secret admirer, however Jan soon loses the locket. Jan uses her detective skills to figure out where the locket is, but still could not discover who sent her the locket to begin with. Alice later confides in Jan that she sent the locket; she was actually a middle child and often felt inferior to her two other sisters.
