When a tough ethics midterm is left on the professor's desk, Slater, Alex, Zach and Leslie argue about whether they should look at it. Slater has Screech fill in for him at work so he can have more time to study.

Zach tries to organize a rave in Cancun, but when that falls apart, he moves it onto campus. Screech tries to fit in with the cool group by getting them nitrous oxide from his chemistry lab, but accidentally steals helium.

Zach gets a job at the student health center to be close to Kelly. When Lasky gets admitted because of an ulcer, Zach fakes an illness so he can share a room with Lasky and keep an eye on Kelly. The rest of the gang contemplates getting tattoos.
