Roseanne is heartbroken when Darlene refuses to drive to Chicago with her. In the hope that she will stay, David asks Darlene to marry him, leading to her refusal and a fight between them. Roseanne eventually goes to Darlene's Chicago apartment and stays the night, engaging in a mother-daughter talk.

Roseanne has had her fill of Bev at the Lunchbox, and Bev agrees to leave, selling her share to Leon. Meanwhile, Jackie dives back into the dating arena, deciding to give Dan's friend Fred a go.

DJ begins skipping school. Roseanne is tired of Darlene and David's separation, so hosts a weekend for the two. When Darlene discovers that it was her mother's plan, she and DJ team up to plot revenge against her. Jackie refuses to go out on another date with Fred after their one night stand.

A Stash from the Past

Roseanne is shocked to find a bag of pot in David's room, immediately punishing him for possession of the drugs. Dan realizes that the pot is a 20 year old stash of his and Roseanne's. David thinks it belongs to Darlene so he says that it's his to cover for her. Roseanne, Dan and Jackie roll one up for old times sake, and soon discover the zombifying effects of smoking pot.

Be My Baby

Roseanne has been trying to get pregnant for months now, but to no avail. Jackie drops a bombshell when she reveals she is pregnant after her one night stand with Fred, so Roseanne decides that she cannot steal Jackie's thunder by getting pregnant at the same time.

Halloween V

Nancy thinks that Dan doesn't like her, and Roseanne soon realises she is right. Darlene and David scheme to terrify Roseanne on Halloween.
