It's Darlene's 16th birthday and her parents enjoy torturing her by making her think they're giving her a sweet sixteen party. The Conner's meet their new neighbors, Ty Tilden and his two daughters Charlotte and Molly.

Roseanne decides to go into business with Jackie and Nancy by opening up a loose meat restaurant. When she can't get a loan at a bank she goes to her mother as a last resort. Bev agrees to put up another $10,000 but only if they let her become their 4th partner.
