When Tim and Jill go bowling with Bud and his wife, Tim tells Jill to lose because he's afraid his career will be ruined (he will be send to Pakistan) if they beat Bud and his wife. Meanwhile, Angela, Brad's girlfriend, sets her sister up with Randy.

Engine and a Haircut, Two Fights

Tim and Brad get into a fight over Brad's new haircut and the hot rod engine. Meanwhile, Randy doesn't want Jill to help him rehearse for an audition to play Romeo in a school play of Romeo & Juliet.

Wilson becomes the director of Randy's school play when his drama teacher goes into labor, but takes the fun out of it for everyone and makes them do random exercises. When Tim later shows him the aluminum set he built, Wilson doesn't like it and orders him to rebuild a new one, and Tim soon quits. Jill's parenting advice turns against her.

When Wilson is burglarized, Tim gets a security system, but Jill, paranoid over what happened to Wilson, begs Tim to get the biggest security system he can find, but the overly complicated system causes chaos in the house and in the neighborhood. Brad gets the opportunity to cheat on an important exam, and trips the alarm sneaking out.

Games, Flames and Automobiles

While Tool Time is on vacation, Al plans to advertise his Tool Time board game and puts his life savings on the line, and plans to propose to Ilene on the upcoming Saturday. But, Tim, Jill, and Mark discover a function that causes a fire due to a wiring defect, which Al fails to notice. When the people that built the games refuse to fix the defect, Tim, Jill, Cal, Wilson, Heidi, and Ilene fix the games and Al proposes to Ilene.
