To Go or Not to Go, That is the Question

The seventh season begins with a newly redecorated living room and kitchen in the Stephens household, and an invitation from Endora to Samantha to attend the centennial Witches Convention in Salem, Massachusetts. When Samantha informs her mother that both she and Darrin will be going to Salem, the news also reaches Hepzibah, the High Priestess of all Witches. Hepzibah pops in and dethrones Darrin in his own home to observe the marriage of witch to mortal and possibly make a decision to dissolve it.

Salem Here We Come

Air date: 10/1/70

During her royal visit to the Stephens, Hepzibah insists on redecorating the entire house, along with observing Darrin at work - she and Samantha encounter a no-nonsense client of McMann and Tate's. Hepzibah and the client take a mutual liking to one another (thanks to a witchly boost from Samantha) and eventually Hepzibah reconsiders dissolving Darrin and Sam's marriage along with allowing Darrin to accompany Samantha to Salem.

Salem Saga

Air date: 10/8/70

During a tour of the House of Seven Gables in Salem, an antique bedwarmer begins harassing Samantha - this annoys Samantha (and the tour guide) to no end, who informs the tourists not to touch any of the antiques inside the house - the bedwarmer makes its way to the Stephens' car, and Darrin is eventually accused of stealing it.

Samantha's Hot Bedwarmer

Air date: 10/15/70

With Darrin in jail and possibly facing trial for stealing the bedwarmer, Samantha seeks out answers as well, with a little help from Endora during the Witches Convention. It is then discovered that ages ago, Serena transformed a warlock into the bedwarmer to keep him from getting caught during the witch hunts. Samantha then asks Endora to send Serena back to Old Salem to retrieve the spell. Serena then returns to the present, gives Samantha the spell to change the bedwarmer back into human form, and Darrin is eventually freed of the charges.

Air date: 10/22/70

While on a sightseeing tour of Gloucester, Massachusetts, Darrin becomes annoyed with Serena when she transforms the Gloucester Fisherman's Memorial statue to life, so Serena zaps Darrin in the statue's place.

Paul Revere Rides Again

Air date: 10/29/70

Samantha asks Esmeralda to send some packages back home from Salem, including a Paul Revere style teapot. Samantha and Darrin need the teapot back, so Samantha contacts Esmeralda to send it back to Salem. Esmeralda goofs and conjures up the real Paul Revere. Later on, Paul Revere learns that a British visitor (who is actually a client of McMann and Tate) is coming to visit, and he embarks on his famous "The British Are Coming" ride through the town of Salem.

Samantha's Bad Day in Salem

Air date: 11/5/70

At the Witches' Convention, Samantha encounters Waldo, an old boyfriend, who apparently still has a crush on her. When Samantha rejects his advances, Waldo conjures up a robotlike fantasy replica of her. Larry Tate sees Waldo and the Fantasy Samantha at the House of Seven Gables, and he thinks Samantha is having an affair behind Darrin's back.
