The Gamer in the Grease

The team investigate the death of a pro gamer whose body is found in a grease truck. The victim, Steve Rifton, was the only person to get a perfect score on a popular arcade game, Punky Pong. Intern Colin Fischer invites Hodgins and Sweets to the premiere of the science fiction film Avatar, where each must take turns standing in line.

The Goop on the Girl

Air date: 12/10/09

A man dressed as Santa Claus wearing an explosive vest is blown up via a radio frequency after robbing a bank, leaving Booth and Brennan to investigate the identity of the bomber and who set off the explosives. Brennan plans on spending Christmas in El Salvador, but her father convinces her to stay and spend it with him and one of her distance relatives, Margaret. After solving the case, the Jeffersonian team attend the funeral of the man that was killed after they discover he was forced into the robbery, comforting the mother who was his only family. The team later celebrate a Christmas dinner at Brennan's.

Booth and Brennan travel to Roswell, New Mexico, after alien-looking remains of a UFO fanatic are found. The woman was killed after accidentally filming the dumping of illegal chemicals in Mexico while searching for aliens. Hodgins deals with his jealousy after Angela and Wendell confess they are in a relationship.

The Proof in the Pudding

Air date: 1/21/10

The Jeffersonian lab is put on lock down by government agents led by Mr. White when they demand Brennan and her team identity of cause of death for a highly classified set of remains. Cam finds a positive pregnancy test in the woman's bathroom and after all the women deny it is theirs, she believes it might be Michelle's, her stepdaughter. After, Angela confesses to Cam that it was actually hers, but did not want anyone else to know. In the interim, Cam had it tested again, and reveals to Angela that it was a false positive, meaning she is not pregnant. The team eventually come to believe the set of remains they are working on are actually that of assassinated President John F. Kennedy. The case causes tension between Hodgins and Booth as the information they gather supports the conspiracy theory about a cover-up, where as Booth is a patriot and believes in the government. Mr. White terminates the testing before completing the cause of death leaving the results inconclusive. To help Booth, Brennan performs a test on one of bones, proving it is not JFK; although Cam tells her she knows what she did was for Booth, and there is still a possibility it was JFK.
