When Cory insists that teaching is easy, in comparison to learning, Mr. Feeny agrees to a bet: Cory and Mr. Feeny temporarily switch roles, with Cory teaching 'Social Studies' for one week, while Feeny is a student. Can Cory really handle the stresses of being a teacher?

Cory's dream to be a big-league baseball star is crushed by Mr. Feeny when the class is assigned to envision its 20th reunion and is given a grade of "Incomplete". However - thanks to a surprise visitor - Cory can continue to live out his dream.

The father/son softball game is coming up, but Cory and Eric do not want to play. Alan finds out how they really feel about the game, and he tells them that the game was canceled, but Cory finds out (from Topanga) that the game, in fact, was played.

While Cory is working on a difficult math problem, he chances upon another conundrum: he accidentally discovers provocative clothing in his mother's bag, and assumes that she is having an affair.

Eric appears in Mr. Feeny's class as a guest speaker to talk about the kids' futures in high school, but he does not tell them the whole truth: that they are about to leave a sheltered life for the real world. Meanwhile, Topanga develops a crush on Eric, but Cory gets the impression that her affections are directed at him.

Cory and Minkus are assigned to the basketball "B-Team" at school, and rarely get to play. However, Cory also gets the feeling that he is on the "B-Team" with his own family.
